I. Use
The technique enables the engineer to select specimens of rock from exposed faces or bore holes, observe orientation of fault lines, then set and test the fault in the shear box.
The instrument has the characteristics of reasonable design, compact structure, fine processing, small size, light weight, detachable packing, easy handling, easy installation on site, easy to use, fast test, convenient maintenance, low price
II. Applicable
1. Rock deformation test;
2. Rock compressive strength test;
3. Rock tensile strength test;
4. Rock point load strength test (can complete the compressive and tensile tests of medium and small cores with different diameters and irregular samples in domestic drilling rigs. The minimum compressive strength can be tested to 5Mpa (soft rock), and the largest can test any hard rock );
5. Complete rock direct shear test (medium to small diameter core and cross section 5cm × 5cm rectangular cylinder for domestic drilling rigs);
6. Direct shear test of rock structural plane and weak rock (suitable for irregular samples that are not easy to process and form, the test range of weak rock is larger than that of XJ-I portable shear instrument);
7. Direct soil shear test (direct test of the shear resistance index of the cored soil in the borehole, the shear area can be greater than the area of the ring cutter);
8. Direct shear test of natural or saturated state of gravel soil (sand gravel soil with gravel particle size ≤2.0cm).
