In the metallographic sample preparation process, grinding and polishing of the specimen are two crucial steps, traditionally performed using two separate machines: a metallographic sample pre-grinder and a metallographic sample polisher.
This machine features a novel and aesthetically pleasing design. Its sediment tray and housing are integrally formed using a thickened ABS plastic vacuum forming process, making the unit highly durable, easy to maintain, and simple to clean.
The machine utilizes a vector frequency converter for wide-range speed control. It offers dual modes: quick switching between high, medium, and low pre-set speeds (which are also customizable) and stepless speed regulation, along with a grinding/polishing timer function. This adaptability meets the varying speed requirements (adjustable arbitrarily between 50 and 1500 RPM) for grinding and polishing throughout the preparation process, and the rotation direction can be adjusted according to user preference.
The left and right discs' speeds can be adjusted independently of each other, allowing the two discs to simultaneously perform grinding and polishing. By simply changing the sandpaper on the grinding disc or the polishing cloth on the polishing disc, the machine can handle various procedures on different samples, including coarse grinding, fine grinding, dry grinding, wet grinding, and polishing.
